I LOVE baking, however I had never really watched The Great British Bake Off until this season. My race team had the honour of Paul Hollywood driving one of our race cars at Brands Hatch back in July, and he was such a pleasant guy! The amount of attention he received at the circuit was crazy, so I thought – I must watch it!
The other week, they done an ‘Alternative Ingredients’ week, meaning no gluten, no diary, and no sugar. Perfect!
One day I’m going to attempt to make some gluten-free bread, as when me and L tried to make a gluten-free pizza base, it went horribly wrong! I shall let you know how it goes, I’ve mastered cakes and biscuits, but still haven’t got the bread to perfection yet. If you have any tips, please let me know!
Gluten-free baking can be quite temperamental if not done exactly to the recipe. I found that a tablespoon of milk in your cake mixture makes it super fluffy, which most gluten-free cakes loose.
If you make anything, or have any special recipes you would like to share, please let me know how it went!
